Recycle Everything Even Mens Belt & Ties!

Looped Pillows made out of Mens Ties
Mens Belt Floor Tiles

Seat Belt Colorful Hammocks
Taking everyday things and reusing them to things you would never think of puts me in a good mood,   especially when those things have to do with using them in the home some way.  What a great way to save the earth!  The statement we hear so frequently now, "Sustainable Living".

The pictures above show a couple of my favorites:
* Mens belts recycled into Floor Tiles - What a great idea for a man's office, or even apply them to walls!
*Colorful Hammocks made from Seat Belts!!  Talk about durable and fun!
Both made by  Tings in London
*Throw Pillows made from Men's Ties. - You could have any colorway you needed, and in all different hues.  Made by  Dreamweavers

Chairs, Chairs, Feed on Chairs

I just absolutely love chairs!  I collect small chairs....they are everywhere in my house!  If you want to get me anything, get me a small "unique" chair!  I guess that makes sense being a designer!

When I find someone who takes a chair to a new level I want to shout it to the world...."Buy this chair!!  It's the greatest!!"  I know I don't have space in my house (or I would have everyone of them) yet I just want someone to have it....so I know someone I know is getting pleasure from this find!!

Well here are such finds:  (And if you like them......click on the link!!  I couldn't post all of them!)

ICarly Show - Great Girls Room Pieces

I have always loved Hollywoods set designs.  The best creative minds are hard at work making furnishings not only creative, but gimmicky enough that people talk about, mention to friends and best of all, tune in to help those ratings! Yahoo's homepage this morning displayed such that.

"ICarly" the show that my kids have grown up with has a new girls room set and some really cool pieces!  Where were these things when I was growing up?  I would have definately been the "hang out" room of the year!

Coolest and Most Creative Hair Salon I have ever seen!!

How about this for a hair salon. It is located in Dublin, Ireland. This is what happens when clients let designers run free and we get to express whats in our heads!! What an imagination the designer Garry Cohn has!!
Its worth watching!! For more info I attached a link to his site

Extremely Large Lampshade - Cool Light Fixture

I stopped in my tracks when I walked by this shoe store.

Look at the extremely large "red lampshade" over the cashier counter.  What a way to warm up store design and create a visual!!  The lighting was just right for the picture and the tech blue wall and floor color makes this light fixture pop!!

Another great out of the box idea!!  I love these!!

Upping my game

Today my goal was to find interior design blogs that I could view to be able to network with and as I was looking at them one point that came to my mind was...."I really need to up my game!"

I'm just learning how to blog, do a website, social media....etc....and it shows.  I hope the others can remember their first post when looking at my site!!  These great bloggers are something I will look up to...yet should I walk around carrying a professional camera or will my iphone suffice??  Any input you can give me would be helpful!!

Besides that.....looking at some of these sites/blogs is very exciting as well as seeing so much information.  So much creativity!!  Nothing is a secret anymore and every accomplishment is shared.  No more modesty, just put it out there!!  Well it's about time!!  Doing something great deserves credit and deserves to be seen,  even if we give it to ourselves at first!  Hard work does pay off!!  Having a creative mind is an art and talent!
